Summary of the course: The goal of this course is for students to have a greater understanding of World Geography, show a marked improvement in geographical thinking skills, and prove to be competent in specified state standards. By the end of this course, students should be able to analyze maps, primary and secondary sources, and contemporary historical events through the lens of a geographer and a historian.
Content Exploration:
World Geography will be broken down into the following units of study. Each unit focuses on a region of the World (Note: Regions of the World will not be taught in isolation). Each unit aligns directly with the 7th Grade Social Studies State Standards. The units of study are as follows:
