Fundamentals of Computing Grades 9 - 12
Fundamentals of Computing introduces students to the field of computer science through an exploration of engaging and accessible topics. Rather than concentrating entirely on learning particular software tools or programming languages, students focus on the conceptual ideas of computing and get an understanding of the tools and languages that might be used to solve particular problems. The goal of this course is to develop students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills within the context of problems that are relevant to their lives. Students will also be introduced to topics such as interface design, limits of computers, and societal and ethical issues
