I'm Ms. Branton, and this year I am teaching five classes of English 1 CP and English Initial Credit/Credit Recovery/Content Recovery. I'm so grateful to be a part of Irmo High School and its community.
As for my background: I was born and raised here in South Carolina, and I have lived in the (West) Columbia area for most of my life. I went to the University of South Carolina for my undergraduate degree (B.A. in English, with a Minor in Education), and entered the Accelerated Master's program where I earned my Master's in Teaching in Secondary Education.
Outside of teaching, I have 2 cats: a girl named Angel and her son, Little Buddy, that I love very much. I'm a creative person; I making and enjoying art, particularly drawing. I also play a variety of video games (students: feel free to talk my ear off about them!).
