About Me... 

This is my 31st year in education. I have my masters in Language and Literacy, have held National Board Certification for over 20 years, have served as a literacy coach in grades K-5, have also served as a graduate adjunct professor teaching literacy courses for teachers, have taught undergrads from USC in their reading and writing courses, and have been a district PD facilitator for over 20 years. I am currently a teacher of multilingual learners in grades K-6. I am passionate about providing equity and access for all learners, and believe that ALL children have gifts and talents to be nurtured and developed.

I love being a teacher because I truly love spending my time with kids of all ages. My goal is for every child to feel loved just as they are, to feel safe, encouraged and inspired as a learner and as a human. As Mister Rogers says, “I like you just the way you are.”  I want EVERY CHILD to see my eyes light up every morning, or afternoon when I see them, I want them to discover what makes them extraordinary and that anything is possible.
