David Bentz

Hello, my name is David Bentz (Coach Bentz), and I will teach Physical Education and Health for 8th Grade for the 2025-2026 school year at Dutch Fork Middle School.  I graduated from Spring Arbor University in the Spring of 2014 with a secondary teaching degree in Physical Education and Social Studies. I moved to Columbia, South Carolina, in 2017.  I enjoy being active, and I love spending time with family in the great outdoors.  A few sports I enjoy are football, basketball, baseball, golf, and running.  

Our goal at DFMS is to help our students lead a healthy and active lifestyle.  We will offer a diverse curriculum through various sports, fitness activities, and health content, with the hope that each student will find something they truly enjoy.  We want all of our students to improve their fitness and learn the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle!
