Greetings everyone! My name is Dr. Hadiyah Leonard, and I’m thrilled to be your science teacher here at Academy For Success. I’m passionate about making science exciting and meaningful for every student.

 A little bit about me: I have been an educator for 15 years.  During this time, I have experience with Adult Education (GED), Project Lead The Way, and Secondary sciences in both traditional and non-traditional learning environments.  I earned my B.S. in Biology from South Carolina State University, followed by a M.S. in Biotechnology with a focus on forensic DNA analysis from Claflin University. I also hold a Doctorate in Education Leadership and Management and a M.S. in Education Administration, both from Capella University. I’m proud to be a U.S. Air Force Reserve veteran, and I bring that same discipline and dedication into the classroom.

Outside of school, I work as a real estate agent, assisting people with buying and selling homes. I love supporting others in reaching their goals—whether it’s in education or real estate!  When I’m not teaching or working, you’ll find me cooking, traveling, watching movies, or supporting my SC State Bulldogs during football season with my husband. I believe in lifelong learning and always encourage my students to stay curious and confident.
