Sra. Abrego   

Is a graduate of Lesley University and the University of Panama, a National Board-Certified Teacher, and a highly qualified teacher as defined by the South Carolina Department of Education. She began her teaching career in 1994; since then, she has been serving students of diverse cultural backgrounds and nationalities. As a native speaker of the Spanish language who learned standard English in school, she believes anyone can learn to speak another language. 

During her career, she has experienced the teaching and learning process in Central America, West Africa, and North America. She is family-oriented; she is passionate about caring for children and senior citizens; she believes in the work of the public school system. She has a passion for teaching, languages, dialects, and accents. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and professional soccer. She wishes students, parents, and colleagues a marvelous 2025-2026 school year.
