My name is Angie Bradley and I am a book club teacher. (Also known as a Reading Interventionist!) I am originally from North Carolina but after twenty-one years in Columbia, I call South Carolina home. I have taught fifth, third, second and first grades...all between taking fourteen years off to hang out with my own four kids who are now ages 18-25. When I am not at school I love to be outside tubing down the Saluda, kayaking, riding my bike, walking my dogs, or reading on my screened-in porch. Biographies and memoirs are my favorite genres! In addition to our three boxer dogs, I have chickens and my husband keeps a saltwater tank with soft corals and some fish. (We found Nemo!)
If you are reading this, it is probably because your child will come to me for book club! Every student in our school is part of a book club, whether in their classroom with their peers and teacher or with another teacher, like me. Students come to me daily for extra reading support with targeted reading instruction. For your child to receive the greatest benefits of their time with me, they must practice at home. The payoff is substantial compared to the time required to practice each evening. See more below about parent support!
Feel free to email me if I can be of any assistance!

I am your greatest fan! I am passionate about empowering parents and caregivers to be successful in helping their children at home as they learn to read. As a parent, I remember the days of raising school-age children and helping with homework while holding a baby and cooking dinner! Needless to say, it could get very stressful. I hope to have a few helps and tips to help you prioritize your child's reading needs. YOU are the MOST important part of the team! No one knows your child the way you do. I value your input and always look forward to hearing from you and how it's going at home with your child's reading journey as we work together.
