My name is Kaylie Huntsinger and this is my second year at Lake Murray Elementary, but is my 10th year in education. I have taught five years in First grade, three years in fifth grade, and this is my second year teaching fourth! I am originally from Savannah, Georgia which is where I graduated from Armstrong State University in 2014. I recently completed my Master's in Language and Literacy at the University of South Carolina.
I moved to South Carolina from Wake Forest, North Carolina in 2019. I married my husband, Kyle in May 2014 and we have two children whom we adore. I enjoy cooking, baking, decorating for all seasons, and spending time with my family.
I absolutely love teaching! I have wanted to teach my entire life and I believe that you will see that play out in my classroom. My classroom is a warm and welcoming environment that has been structured with your Fourth grader in mind! I invite you to play an active role in your child’s education by talking with your child each day about what they learned and communicating with me! I look forward into diving into the standards as we develop critical thinking skills together.
