Step 2:

Take Assessments

Your counselor creates your schedule based on assessments for your core courses. Please send an e-mail to the department head to schedule your assessment as soon as possible. Let them know that you are new, and would like to schedule an assessment. The assessment may include a conversation about what your courses were like at your previous school and/or it may be that you take an assessment so they can determine what academic level is best for you.

English as a Second Language - If you or anyone in your household speaks a language other than English, you must take the ESL (English as a Second Language) Assessment. If you are unsure whether you need to take this assessment, check your email that has your student account credentials. If you need to take it, email Ms. Adolph to set up an ESL assessment

Math - All students must have a math assessment. Email Mr. Kelly to set up a Math Placement Assessment

World Language - It is recommended to take a World Language assessment to make sure that you are placed in the appropriate course level. Email Ms. Moran to set up a World Language assessment

MCAS for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders - The State of Massachusetts requires that students complete a set of state-administered tests in order to graduate. Email Ms. Heather Foley to get more information about these tests.

Now go to Step 3 - How to Request AP and Honors (Not a requirement).
