Mrs. Parrish holds a double BA from the University of Michigan in English and Spanish Language and Literature, as well as an MA in Education from the same institution. She studied Spanish history, Spanish art, and the Spanish language in Toledo, Spain, at the Fundación José Ortega y Gasset, and screenwriting and YA fiction at UCLA.
Her love for Spanish and Latin American language, food, and culture has taken her across Spain, through various regions of Mexico, and, finally, on a long-awaited journey to Puerto Rico.
