Be kind. Treat your teacher, classmates, and yourselves with respect by listening to instructions when given, not speaking over anyone when they are sharing their ideas, and by treating others how you want to be treated.
Bring the materials you need with you to class each day. There is a borrow bin on days you make a mistake and forget (and that’s okay)… but it should not be during each class period. Come to class prepared!
Be responsible. Take responsibility for your actions. If you said or did something that you shouldn’t have done, take ownership, and learn from the experience.
Always do your best & don’t be afraid to make mistakes or ask for help. Mistakes are how we grow. This is a safe space where your ideas are welcomed and encouraged!
Unless stated otherwise, you should always bring the following materials to class:
Chromebook
3 ring binder, 1" for science class
Pencil
Agenda Book (writing down your homework is key, then you are less likely to forget it!)
Each class period will follow this routine:
Arrival:
Be on time!
Check to make sure you have all the materials needed for class.
You should be in your assigned seats at the start of class writing down your homework in your school planner.
Warm Up: Each class will begin with a Warm Up to prepare you for the day.
Lesson/Activity: During class we will have some direct instruction where you are given important vocabulary, activities, labs, and/or group discussions.
Classwork: Classwork is to be completed in class (or for homework if extra time is needed).
Wrap Up: At the end of class we'll check in and summarize what we learned and go over the plan for the following class.
End of class:
At the end of class, wait until the lesson is over before you begin packing up.
Make sure you have not left anything behind (pencils, trash, etc.)
Push in your chair
After class: Slides will be posted in Google Classroom after the lesson is complete for you to reference.
