SHORT BIO
I moved to Cambridge, MA in 2010, where I still live with my husband, son, and daughter. I attended Dartmouth College (Go Big Green!) for undergrad, where I majored in Psychology and minored in Anthropology and International Studies. In 2013, I returned to school, to the Harvard Graduate School of Education, to get my Master's in Education and my Certificate of Advanced Studies in School Counseling. Even though Cambridge has been home for almost ten years, I still try to get back to Martha's Vineyard whenever I can, since the pull of island never quite stops pulling.
As a counselor I love working with young people as they continue their journey of self discovery and exploration of all of the possibilities for their futures. My counseling philosophy places an emphasis on developing strong relationships throughout the school and community. I believe communication and relationships with students and families is key in helping students navigate high school and develop future goals. I try to always keep my work student-centered, knowing that every individual has their own unique story and own definition of success.
