A little about me and my family. I grew up in Rhode Island and attended the University of Rhode Island ("Go Rhody!!!"), Lesley College (at that time) and American International College. I currently take on-line classes, as well. I love to learn and share my new knowledge. I am married and have four adult children (all attended Lexington Public Schools) and two beautiful grandchildren. I have been with the Lexington Public school system for 23 years and I love my job. In my spare time, I also enjoy reading, cooking, sewing, and spending time with my family. I love working with students and especially strive to help them to be the best that they can be. I love talking with them and learning about their thoughts, perspectives, curiosities and interests. I am always amazed with their perseverance and passion for their interests. Although this year and last are different in many ways from previous years, the children and their resilience never cease to amaze me. I know that we are making history and I am proud to do so, here in Lexington and in the company of wonderful students, supportive families and incredible colleagues/friends. I have never met a more passionate, resilient and conscientious group of people. I am proud to be part of this incredible group.

HELPFUL HINTS FOR ORGANIZATION
1) It’s really important to try to create and follow a daily routine or schedule.
2) Create a daily “calendar” for yourself OR you can make a copy of and use your Team’s awesome calendar.
3) Check all teacher assignments on our Adventurer websites. Some days, you may not have homework. :)
Ex: “Adventurer Google Classroom”. Assignments are listed on the common Adventurer calendar, just like before.
Ex: “Adventurer Google Link” on homepage. (for introduction and reminders of expectations.) Teacher assignments are listed with each teacher.
4) Once you have read your assignments, look for the key words within the instructions, so that you will know exactly what is being asked of you. You can also restate the directions “in your own words” to your parents or another adult, to check for clarification and understanding.
5) Choose times in each day to work on your class assignments, one at a time, like we do in support.
6) Always finish one step at a time for your assignments, before moving onto the next step.
7) Always remember to find time for the fun “downtime” things that you like to do. Eat great foods, drink lots of water, get lots of exercise and plenty of rest so that you’re ready for the next day. Ask your parents to play some relaxing music while you work, for example ~ Pandora’s relaxation station or Classical music, like we play in 135)
8) PLEASE reach out with any questions that you may have, as soon as you feel confused or unsure of what to do. I check my email throughout each day and I always love hearing from you.
I am very, very proud of all of your hard work! :), Mrs. Flori
