This course is a college-level, algebra-based introduction to descriptive statistics, probability, and statistical inference. The course follows the data gathering and analysis process and is designed to prepare students for the Advanced Placement examination Statistics, which is scheduled to take place in May.

A TI-83 or TI-84 series graphing calculator is required for both courses. Graphing calculators will be used extensively on a daily basis, and they are required for the AP Statistics exam. It is the responsibility of every student to bring a calculator to class on a daily basis, as extras are not available in the classroom.
The LHS Math Department provides a limited number of calculators are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To borrow a calculator from the Math Department, visit room 711 weekdays 8:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
