A Brief Biography of Mr. Staplin:

Hello! While I'm a Massachusetts native, my path to becoming a teacher took an exciting, unexpected turn. After college, a challenging job market led me to seek opportunities abroad, and I embarked on a wonderful decade-long adventure teaching in China.

I spent three enriching years teaching in Shandong Province, enjoying life in its vibrant cities. My partner and I then moved to Shanghai, where we truly cherished the bustling city, our work, and the wonderful community we built. It was there that our first son was born! Our family's return to Massachusetts was prompted by the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, as we sought a stable environment for our growing family, which happily includes our second son born last year.

My own experiences as a parent, especially navigating a new country and significant life changes, deeply inform my understanding and empathy for all families. I especially appreciate the journeys many of you have undertaken to provide the best for your children. I truly enjoy hearing about the diverse places our community members have lived and traveled.
