About the Teacher

Mrs. Williams

People often ask how I decided to become a teacher. I have aspired to be a teacher ever since I was in the first grade! I LOVED my first grade teacher, who left a lasting impression on me.

Teaching is part of who I am. I love spending each and every day with so many children who are as impressionable as I was. My goal is to help each of them to feel nurtured, enriched, and loved for who they are. It is so exciting to witness their growth and development throughout each year.

I began my teaching career here at Fiske School as a student teacher in 1991! Since then I have taught almost all of the elementary grades (K, 2, 3, 4 and 5) at Bowman School and Fiske School. I served as Fiske's Assistant Principal for two years (2001-2003), as well. I am thrilled to be teaching 5th grade again this year! I have truly loved every grade level, and feel so fortunate to be spending my days doing something that I love.

On a personal note, I live in West Concord with my two children, Katie (20 years old) and Kevin (18 years old), and our cat Tigger. Katie is a junior in college and Kevin is a senior at Minuteman Tech High School. I like to tell my students that I am a Mom AND a teacher. They always seem surprised and excited by that.

I view every day as a new learning experience, and welcome your feedback. We have a wonderful opportunity to help your children LOVE learning about themselves and the world around them. I look forward to another wonderful school year!
