Assignment # 1 , Meaningful Object

Choose an object of your choice. Choose an object that you enjoy looking at or that is meaningful to you in some way. INVESTIGATE this object. Look at it as if you’ve never seen it before. Consider the composition and the negative space around d your object/background. Experiment with at least half of the following suggestions for capturing your object:

• Look up at it
• Look down at it
• Ground level (ant’s eye level)
• Get very close … Find out how close you can bring your lens to an object while still in focus
• Add another object next to it to change your objects’ scale
• Place it inside something… Place something inside it
• Lighting differences, harsh light/spotlight, neutral light
• Make your object reflect in something else, glass, mirror, water, window, metal
• Experiment with depth of field with your object.
