The transition from 5th to 6th grade is a big deal, and we're excited to welcome our new sixth graders to middle school. We hope you're excited too.
In order to prepare for our new sixth graders' arrival in the fall, Clarke Middle School will be using this website to serve as a hub for all communications, documents, and information related to your child's advancement to middle school. Please see the timeline below for an overview of the transition process.

After attending/watching our middle school transition info sessions on or after March 9, you may have questions. If so, please contact the Clarke main office at 781-861-2450 between the hours of 7:30 - 3:30 on weekdays.
5th-6th Grade Transition Timeline
Friday, February 27 — 5th-to-6th Grade Transition Website Launch
You have received a message inviting you to visit this transition website, linked on the Clarke website, which contains all the necessary information and resources you’ll need to complete the course request process for your rising 6th grader.
Monday, March 9 — Family Information Night (7-8PM in Clarke Auditorium)
At this event, Clarke's administrative team will present helpful information about Clarke Middle School and our upcoming 6th grade course selection process. We'll also have some time to answer some questions from the audience.
Students are welcome at this event! We encourage you to bring your rising 6th grader to hear this information first-hand, so that they have an opportunity to see part of our building!

Tuesday, March 10th — Course Registration Begins

Tuesday, June 9 — 5th Grade Step-Up Day
5th grade students will visit Clarke in the afternoon to tour the building and meet some of our staff.
Mid-August — Your child’s team placement will be emailed home through our Aspen portal.
All middle school students will receive their full schedule on the first day of school.
TBA in Late August — Open House for Parents/Caregivers & Students
