Harrington School Welcome Page
Welcome from the Principal
August 5th, 2022
Good afternoon Harrington Families and Friends,
,
As we prepare to embark on the 2022-23 school year, on behalf of all staff here at the school, we hope you are having a great summer. Whether you are a new or returning member of the Harrington family, we will be welcoming you back soon to another exciting year ahead, and I am looking forward to our journey.
At Harrington, “we all belong” and part of making those words become a reality is in the work we do each day. We aspire to engage all of our students with an equitable academic program that challenges and supports each individual. We encourage every student to think independently, work collaboratively, apply knowledge, develop and showcase talents and skills, and ultimately become good citizens within a global community. This dedicated commitment is not one we take lightly and we always seek to improve!
We strive to uphold the LPS mission of, “Joy in Learning, Curiosity in Life and Compassion in All We Do” within the context of our HAWKS core values: Honesty, Acceptance, Work, Kindness and Self-Control which guide our teaching and learning and help reinforce our behavior expectations each day. The students and staff are committed to these values. Our students are proud to be Harrington Hawks!
This work is only done successfully when we all partner together, and I look forward to our future together as the Harrington HAWKS community for the upcoming school year. Please consider ways you can become involved in the community through joining our PTA, volunteering for Big Backyard or in the library and simply joining school-wide events throughout the year. The education of your child(ren) is something we are all a part of- take time to enjoy it….WE ALL BELONG.
I look forward to seeing you in late August for our return to school but until then, please note that class placement will be available the week of August 15th via Aspen, and the communication that will be sent will have lots of information about the return to school and upcoming important dates. Information will also be coming from the PTA as we get closer to the start of school.
For now, I hope you find ways to stay cool and enjoy the remaining weeks of summer.
Warm regards,
Jackie Daley
