DIAMOND MIDDLE SCHOOL CLUBS
  • Online registration begins on October 9, 2025, at 8:00 PM. 

  • The registration will close on October 11, 2025 at 9:00 AM.

  • The registration link will be posted on this website.

  • Each club meets for 10 sessions from October 20, 2025, to January 23, 2026.

  • Attendance will be taken at each session.

  • For clubs led by high school students, Diamond students will attend a supervised study hall until 3:30 PM, when the high school students arrive.

  • Registration guidelines are subject to change.

2025 FALL SEASON CLUB OFFERINGS

CHESS CLUB

Tuesdays 2:50 - 4:00

Advisor: Mr. Milendorf 

Come hang out with friends and play chess in a fun and relaxing atmosphere! Each week we will have a puzzle to solve, and one important idea for gameplay (although both are completely optional). Depending on the group, we may end the season off with a fun and hectic tournament where anyone could take first place!

CHINESE SHADOW PUPPET SHOW CLUB

Thursdays 2:50 - 3:50

Advisor: Ms. Chen

Step behind the curtain and into the magical world of Chinese shadow puppetry! In this club, you'll learn the ancient art of creating and performing with shadow puppets. We'll explore traditional techniques, design our own characters, and bring stories to life using light and shadow. You don't need any Mandarin language skills to join in the fun—but you will learn to speak some sentences,  with a lot of creative spirit! It's a great way to learn about Chinese culture while developing your artistic and storytelling skills. Come and let your imagination shine!

COMPETITIVE CODING CLUB

Love solving problems? Join the Competitive Programming Club—a fast-paced learning experience where complete novices and beginners can come together and step into the world of competitive programming. At the end, there will even be a mini programming contest to see who comes out on top.

GREEN TEAM

Come be a part of the Green Team as we work together on becoming a more sustainable community by creating positive change through action, education and a stronger appreciation of our Earth.  Lots of hands-on opportunities to lead projects and bring new ideas to the group.  The Green Team is an excellent opportunity to get involved at school and in the greater community.  We host special guests, lead a variety of school initiatives and participate in special events outside of school.  Join today!

LEGO CLUB

Tuesdays 2:50 - 4:00

Advisor: Mr. Buckley 

This club will give students time to work on Lego projects after school. We will have kits with instructions students can build or there will be lots of pieces for free building their own projects.  There will also be Knex kits and gravitrax marble rolling building toys as well. Students will be able to store their projects between sessions or work on something new each session.

LMS JAZZ BAND

For anyone interested in law or if you love acting, join mock trial! Hosted by members of Lexington High School's mock trial team, learn how to simulate realistic court appearances and have some fun!

MODERN CALLIGRAPHY CLUB

Discover the art of beautiful lettering in the Modern Calligraphy Club! You’ll start with the foundations of calligraphy using practice sheets, then apply your skills to creative projects like card making, wall art, bookmarks, watercolor designs, stickers, and more. Each meeting offers a new project, so you’ll always leave with something unique and personal! We will provide all materials. Music and other personal devices are allowed.

THE QUILLIAN

Love to write? Love graphic design?  Then we need you!  The Quillian, Diamond’s online literary magazine, needs editors to help manage submissions and update the website.  We will also spend some time doing our own creative work and sharing our ideas.  Join us after school on Wednesdays!

UBUNTU

Ubuntu Crew is an experiential learning program that mimics the artist-commission process. We learn about and research public art and street art, build skills for design and large scale work, and execute a full-scale mural in a public space within the school. Please see Mz. HOMEWORK CLUB

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 2:45 - 3:45

Room: 131 (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) & 204 (Thursdays)

Advisors: Ms. Flores, Ms. Fagan, and Ms. Verrengia

Students may drop in on Tuesdays through Thursdays to get help with homework or for a quiet place to work.
