Field hockey has historically been a no-cut sport at Clarke. Everyone is welcome, no matter your experience level!
2025 season: Register here and submit a physical (dated within 13 months) to the health office BEFORE the first day of practice (Thursday, September 4). You cannot participate in practice without a current physical on file. The health office closes at the end of the school day, so turn it in early!
Practice Schedule (2025 season)
Monday to Thursday from 2:50–4:20 and Friday from 2:50-4:00
No practice on half-day Fridays
(THESE TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE) Games typically start at 3:45 and generally last about an hour.
Equipment needed for 2025
Stick (should come up to 2" below top of hip bone)
Shinguards (preferably blue, or have blue socks to cover)
Mouthguard (not white or clear) with no tab sticking out of the mouth (helmet attachment)
Goggles (preferably rated for field hockey with code ASTM 2713, check for the vertical bar!)
Field hockey ball (labeled with player name)
Cleats AND sneakers (for turf field games or indoor practices)
Water Bottle - no sharing!
Suggested: beach towel (for outdoor stretching on the grass)

Players take a bus to and back from all away games (except no bus back from games at Diamond or Lincoln Field in Lexington). Parents may bring their children home from the away games as long as they communicate the plan with the coaches at the field before leaving.
