The Bowman School is home to 440 Kindergarten – Fifth graders. Bowman is composed of a diverse student body and staff which represents the cultures and backgrounds of the students and families we serve. Our diversity allows for rich social and cultural opportunities for students, staff, and the school community.

We believe that in order for our children to get the most out of their educational experience, they need support from home and school. The relationships between school staff and home parents/caregivers is at the center of our work. As partners, we share the responsibility for nurturing and caring for our children so that they are happy, productive members of our school and community. We are invested in educating the whole child and work to meet each student’s individual needs. The staff is committed to providing children a high quality education in a safe, nurturing and productive learning environment.

We are fortunate to have a highly engaged and supportive parent and caregivers.

One of the best ways to participate in your child’s Bowman experience is to join our PTO (Parent Teacher Organization). PTO provides a range of volunteer opportunities, organizes family fun events, and sponsors fundraisers. Volunteers may sign up for a weekly assignment such as helping check out books in our library to a one time job of assisting with a class celebration. The monies raised through PTO’s thoughtful fundraising has a direct impact on our students.

The staff at Bowman is second to none! Our teachers are passionate about education and seek professional learning opportunities to help enhance their craft. Building a sense of belonging and community within each classroom is a focus for our teachers throughout the year. The support staff members spend their days interacting with students in a variety of ways. They pride themselves on getting to know our children and establishing relationships that in many cases span the years that our students attend Bowman.
