Discuss: How does the imagery in the trailer differ from other superhero or sci fi movies you’ve seen? What do you notice about set design and costume?
Reflect: Define afrofuturism. What is it about the design of Black Panther that places it in this genre? Why does that matter? What is powerful about afrofuturism?
Apply: Consider an aspect of your identity that is underrepresented or misrepresented in the media. Design a superhero that celebrates that identity. Draw and name your superhero.
