About Mr. B

Hi!

Welcome to the 2017-18 school year! I'm excited to have you in class.

A little about myself:

• This is my third year teaching at Lexington High School
• I live in Cambridge with my wife, Alyssa and cat, Faye
• One of my favorite hobbies is learning new skills. A few of these skills I am currently learning are:
  • Stringing tennis rackets (even though I do not play)
  • Sharpening kitchen knives using my grandfather's whetstones
  • Woodworking and carpentry using only hand tools
• I grew up in Eastern Colorado. If you have ever flown into the Denver, I used to farm the wheat fields that run along the airport's border
• After high school, I joined the Marine Corps and spent five years as a electrician for Huey and Cobra helicopters
  • While in the Marines, I found that teaching the complicated electronic systems to the new members of my unit was very rewarding, and is what led to my decision to become a teacher.
