About Me

Hello! My name is Erin Barrett and I have been teaching high school history since 1994 and at Lexington High School since 2000. My family and I lived in Lexington from 1997 until 2022 when we moved to Arlington. Both my children went through the Lexington school system (Hastings/Diamond/LHS). The youngest just graduated college and is living and working in Boston, and the eldest is a fourth year Medical School student--by the time we finish this school year, she will be an actual doctor!

I have taught 10th grade World History, AP World History, US History and Media Studies, but over the course of my career, I have spent the most time teaching 9th grade World History.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy tennis, travel, jig-saw puzzles, working out, and curling up with a good book with our cat, Nala, on my lap. In anticipation of my retirement, I've even started playing golf.
