Interested in the Military?
How do I qualify?
1. Take the ASVAB – This test, the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is designed to help the military decide where you best fit.
a. Scores can range from 0 - 99.
b. Minimum score required is 31. Be aware that some branches may require a higher score (ex. Air Force).
c. The higher your score, the more opportunities you have regarding your job placement.

iii. There is also an ASVAB test book that most libraries have on hand that you can check out. It is always best to be prepared.

2. Earn your high school diploma
If you are interested in the National Guard, Army or Marine Corps, you may be able to join with a GED plus (+) 15 credit hours.
· A GED without college credit hours will not help you get into the military.
