Summer 2026
Students:
This summer, every LSDO high school student should self-select and read at least one book. When students return to school in August, teachers will use students’ summer reading experiences to begin building a community of readers who share and talk about books. Students may also be invited to participate in a schoolwide reading celebration.
Certified & Support Staff:
This summer, there are two opportunities to earn recertification points and to enjoy the love of reading! When staff returns to school in August, we will use summer reading experiences to begin building a community of readers who share and talk about books.
The first opportunity is that all PHS staff are encouraged to read Young Adult (YA) literature. Participating certified staff can earn up to 25 recertification points when they complete this form* for each book read (limit 5 books).
*Highly recommend reviewing the form before beginning a book. An additional 6 points are available by completing the Beanstack challenge through your Classlink Launchpad.
Here is the Google Form mentioned in the Read, Relax, Repeat flyer.
The second opportunity is that all PHS staff are encouraged to read ANY book! Finding or redicsovering your love of reading with titles you select that interest you. Participating certified staff can earn up to 15 recertification points when they complete log 900 minutes in Beanstack. (You cannot duplicate books already used in the Read Review and Relax opportunity.)
