Dear MGES Community,
Thank you to everyone that created a Storybook Character Pumpkin! Over 20 pumpkins were displayed in the library for our students to enjoy. Check out the photo below! Please have your student stop by and pick up their pumpkin to take home.
Also, about 200 students participated in Read with the Gamecocks, way to go! Vouchers will come home in a couple of weeks.
Just a reminder - if your student has misplaced their library card and/or library bag, they can still check out books. We continue to receive damaged books (e.g. wet, sticky, dirty) so please remind your students to keep their hands clean and dry when reading and return their book to the bag when not reading.

Key Focus: Personal Responsibility
This year, we are focusing on fostering personal responsibility. To help students care for their materials, all students (4K–5th Grade) have been provided with a Ziploc library bag. We ask that books remain in these bags when not being read to prevent damage. Students in grades 2–5 also decorated their own library cards, which they should bring along with their bag and books during every library visit. Students can still visit the library and check-out books if they can't find their bag and/or library card.
Library Logistics
Check-out period: 2 weeks
Overdue notices: Sent via email on Tuesday mornings.
Fines: We do not charge fines for overdue books.
