We are sharing a “sweet reward” for summer reading from Nothing Bundt Cakes. You can bring in a reading tracker to their store in June, July, and August for a free mini bundlet each month.
3 trackers (1 for each month) came home
with your student in May.

The trackers can be used at the

These books are most appropriate for
4th through 6th grade students.
4th & 5th graders can choose to begin reading one or two of the SC Children's Book Award nominee books this summer! Read the summaries with your parents to select a book or two you might be interested in reading.
We will talk about this optional reading challenge in the library in August with your new 4th or 5th grade class. In order for students to vote for the
26-26 SC Children's Book Award you need to have read at least 5 of these books
by the end of January 2027.
Our 1st through 3rd graders read most of the
SC Picture Book Award nominees in the library and with their teachers to vote for the picture book award each year.
Students can easily access Pebble Go from their ClassLink Launchpad screen.
SCDISCUS gives you access to databases to use for research and reading. Tumble Books is now available through DISCUS. Remember if you are trying to access SCDISCUS.org from home you may need to contact Ms. Brooks at sbrooks@lexington1.net for the password. We are not allowed to post this information online.
