Schoology Annotation Assignments allow secondary students to interact directly with digital texts and course materials. By highlighting, drawing, and adding comments directly on submitted documents, learners engage in active reading, visually document their thinking process, and receive specific, inline feedback from teachers without ever leaving the platform.

Go to the Schoology Course (access through Classlink).

Find the annotation assignment to open.
Step 3:

Select Start Assignment.

Use the tools on the Type or Draw tabs to annotate the document or image.

The annotations save automatically. To continue later, select Edit Draft.

When the assignment is finished, select Submit at the bottom right, under the draft.
