A second-language keyboard allows students to type with accurate accents and characters, improving spelling, grammar, and natural communication while building essential bilingual digital literacy skills.
Select the Settings app on the iPad.
On the left, scroll down and select Keyboard.
On the right, scroll down to the section titled Text Input and Input Sources. Select Edit on the right.
Locate Show Input menu in menu bar and select the toggle to turn this feature on.
To add another language keyboard, select the + in the bottom left corner.
Search for a language. Select one or more languages to add and select Add. This language will now be available on your Input Menu.
To switch between keyboards, select the Input Menu and choose the preferred language.
