Speak Selection reads highlighted text aloud to boost reading comprehension and focus. Hearing their work read back helps students catch writing typos, while having difficult text read aloud allows them to independently access grade-level content and focus on critical thinking.

Go to System Settings.

In the left-hand menu, select Accessibility.
Then select Read & Speak.

In the Read & Speak menu, select Speak Selection, then toggle on Speak Selection.
*Note: Students only need to follow these directions once to enable Speak Selection.
