Google Classroom serves as K-5’s digital classroom, connecting young learners and parents to daily schoolwork. This guide demonstrates how to upload files to a Google Classroom assignment.
Open the Google Classroom icon on the home screen. Sign in if prompted.
Select the Class tile to open the appropriate class.
To easily access assignments, select the Classwork tab/view, then select the assignment.
Then select View Instructions. To upload a file (or create a new one) to attach to the assignment, select Add or create on the right hand side of the screen.

Select the appropriate location (Drive, Link, File). After choosing the file (or typing in the link), click Add.
Create a new file (if needed)
To complete the assignment, students also have the option to create a new Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, or Drawings.
Select the type of file to create, open the new file, and complete the assignment.
Add video or audio
Students may also choose to record video or audio to submit to an assignment!
No matter which file type/submission is chosen; when finished, return to Google Classroom and select the blue Turn In button. Confirm turn in.
