What is AFJROTC? “The purpose of Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps is to instill in students the value of citizenship, service to the United States, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment."
AFJROTC Mission Statement: "Develop citizens of character."
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
• Develop respect for duly constituted authority.
• Promote patriotism and an obligation toward national service.
• Develop a sense of responsibility and such qualities as integrity, loyalty, morality, and self-discipline.
• Develop a sense of personal honor, self-reliance, and leadership.
• Encourage punctuality and the desirable habits of health, hygiene, physical fitness, orderliness, and precision.
• Develop a familiarity with the fundamental doctrine of aerospace.
• Develop basic military skills that will be of value to the individual cadet, the community, and to the nation.
• Develop a familiarity with the traditions of the U.S. Air Force.
• Develop and be able to effectively apply leadership, management, and planning principles and skills.
• NOT to recruit you into the Military.
