Small Group Counseling

What are Small Groups?

School counselors facilitate small groups related to improving social skills, dealing with emotions and learning healthy coping skills, transitions (divorce/separation, grief), self-esteem, and more! Small groups consist of 4-8 students and take place during the school day weekly for 6-10 weeks.

How do Students get Chosen to Participate?

Students are nominated to participate in small groups in a variety of different ways, but are often referred by their teacher and/or school counselor. However, small group services are offered to ALL students in order to promote healthy social and emotional development, which in turn leads to academic success.

If you feel your child would benefit from a small group, please reach out to your child's assigned school counselor.
