If your child has been absent from school, the attendance clerk will need a parent note or a medical note from their Doctor. You can send your note in with you child, drop it off in the office, or you can email it to bhoover@lexington1.net.

Up to ten parent notes for illness will be accepted. Beyond the number of ten, a doctor’s note will be required in order for any absence related to illness to be excused.

Absences for any reasons other than those stated above, including, but not limited to, vacations and suspension, will be considered unexcused. At 5 unexcused absences, the state considers a child truant. With a total of 5 unexcused absences, parents must meet with an administrator to develop an Attendance Intervention Plan.
