Hi! My name is Mrs. Castle,

 A little bit about myself-

I received my undergraduate degree at Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina. I always thought I would end up in the library after I retired from teaching. Funny thing about plans: they never work out the same way you planned.

I have a Bachelor's degree in history with a secondary teaching certification. I graduated with my Master's Degree in Library Science from the University of South Carolina in 2023. And for the past ten years I have worked in several different libraries, including the Lexington County Public Library (Gaston & Cayce West Columbia), River Bluff High School Library and down the road at Carolina Springs Elementary School Library.

I love to read (all kinds of books), exercise at Barre3 and hang out with my husband, and two children. I love long walks at Saluda Shoals Park, the Cayce Riverwalk and the Canal Park.

I am looking forward to promoting literacy and advocating for all the trailblazers at Deerfield Elementary School. I will encouraging the love of reading, creativity, technology, and collaboration.
