Beginning Band

Welcome to the exciting world of band!  

REHEARSALS AND LESSONS

There are two components to beginning band:  full band rehearsals and lessons.

Rehearsals

Full band meets during school on Monday’s from 9:35 AM – 10:15 AM and Thursdays from 2:35 – 3:10 PM.  Please be sure your child's instrument and lesson book are here for that date!

Lessons

Each week, band students will have a group lesson from 9:15 - 9:40 AM. We work on examples out of their lesson book ("Essential Elements for Band") and concert music.

Q2 Lesson schedule:

Monday: Percussion

Tuesday: Flutes

Wednesday: Clarinets

Thursday: Alto Saxophones

Friday: Trumpets/F Horn

Please make sure your child brings the two things to each band lesson & rehearsal:

1. Instrument in good, working order

2. Book one of "Essential Elements for Band" correct for their instrument
