Cedar Key Aquaculture Association Supplemental Requirements
In addition to 300 work hours on an aquaculture farm and taking the Florida Aquaculture Association Industry Certification test, we require:
1 Safety Skills
- Forklift Operator Course - CFCC
- Boating Safety Course - USCG
- CPR & First Aid - CKVFD
- Safety in Chemical use/storage - MSD
2 Cedar Key
- Shellfish in Cedar Key
- List local occupations related to aquaculture
3 Water Quality
- Local adverse challenges to water quality
- Water sampling with DACS/NCBS
4 Regulations
- Will be able to identify shellfish water boundaries
- FDA role ISSC
- DACS role
- Public Health Implications
5 Associations
- Participation in CKAA annual meeting
- Junior Board Membership
- Attend Workshop
