At classroom level, we will be engaged in the following learning experiences:

› participating in oral discussions, asking and answering questions about factual information.

› identifying the main idea (‘who’ or ‘what’ the text is about) and key information.

› use graphic organisers to organize information.

› learning precise, topic-related vocabulary (e.g., farm animals, birds, insects, rodents) and recording it in a vocabulary chart.

› rehearsing and writing simple and compound sentences.

› using subject and verb prompts with topic vocabulary to compose simple informative sentences.
