The Real Texas Bluebonnet Winner: The Oldest Student: How Mary Walker Learned to Read
I think it's the books that you read when you're young that live with you forever
This is my 5th year as the librarian at Levelland Intermediate School. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors in 4th-8th grade multidisciplinary studies and taught reading and writing for a few years. I am currently working on and have almost completed a Masters program in School Library Science through Texas Women's University.
I have been married for 18 years to my husband and we have 3 boys. I love spending time with my family, camping, movies, old things, a good laugh, and historical fiction is one of my favorite genres. I also love teaching in the library!
Below you will find resources such as...
Destiny Discover: This is our online catalog where you can see (not read) and browse every book in our LIS library.
Myon: This is a digital library that only students at LIS have access to through Clever. Students can read these books anywhere from any device.
Library Parent/Student Policy: This will be sent home the first few weeks of school to be signed and returned before students can check-out books from the library.
LIS Collection Development Policy: This policy explains how our collection of books is developed.
LIS Library Program: A view of the library program, events, and Reading Challenges throughout the year.
