Platforms for Delivering Content
How will your students access your content? Most teachers will likely use Google Classroom because every district in Lane County has students already in the Google platform and all documents integrate easily. If you are unsure of what to use, just start with Google Classroom. It is the easiest to get started and use. If you don't mind something more complicated, but more powerful, then go with Canvas.
By far the most popular and easiest to use platform. Check out these youtube videos to learn how to set up your own classroom. Or join the virtual PD "Introduction to Google Classroom" and interact with other Lane County teachers. Google Classroom is FREE to use for all teachers. Canvas is FAR more powerful and customizable than Google Classroom. It is also FAR more complicated and difficult to learn. Expect to spend a significant amount of time learning and setting up your classroom up front. Canvas has allows individual teachers to create a FREE account.
