1.) Our WSS Band is back in action for this 2025-2026 school year! Rehearsals take place BEFORE school from 7:45-8:45am on Monday and Wednesday mornings in the elementary school auditorium while our band room completes some major renovations! Students can take the HS bus run, walk or get dropped off to the main entrance doors by 7:45am. To learn more about our amazing WSS Band, click HERE!
2.) Our Le Roy Marching Knights have done it again; NEW YORK STATE FIELD BAND CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS for a 6th time!!! With their show Houdini Unchained, the Marching Knights scored an 83.90 to capture the Small School 3 state title! The Marching Knights previous state titles include...
1978 - Novice division
2004 - Small School 3 division
2005 - Small School 3 division
2007 -Small School 2 division (2nd in score, but 1st in the state)
2008 - Small School 2 division
2024 - Small School 3 division
And our fall 2025 competitive season has now entered its second half with not one, but two performances this past weekend! After a stellar performance on Friday, October 3rd @ Hamilton Field, Caledonia for our home football game, it was off to Webster Schroeder HS where the Marching Knights took 2nd place in the NYSFBC competition, earning a score of 74.40! Next up is our weekend long trip to New York City on October 10th-12th where we will perform at another NYSFBC at Arlington High School!
3.) The WSS Mini Marching Knights will begin their 2026 season on TUESDAY, JANUARY 6TH @ 6:30pm. Rehearsals will continue on Tuesday's from 6:30-8:00pm at WSS through the middle of March and then switch over to 5-6:30pm through the beginning of June, as we learn marching and music FUNdemantals! Get ready for some fun performances at the Le Roy American Legion Memorial Day Parade, Seabreeze Amusement Park, Red Wings and the Town of Le Roy Oatka Festival Parade! 4.) Our Jr. High Swingin' Knights Jazz Band rehearsals will began on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH, 2025 from 2:15-3pm after school! Rehearsals will be held on Mondays and Thursdays during that after school time. Students are welcome to attend 1 or both rehearsals each week as you navigate around your other extracurricular and athletic groups/activities. We will have some fun spring performances to prepare for and maybe even at our winter concert! Click HERE to learn more about this fun ensemble!
