Peer Mentors are 12th grade volunteers who are selected through an application process to support our incoming 7th grade students with their transition from elementary to junior high school.
Peer Mentors play a vital role in mentoring, communicating, and serving as a resource for our incoming 7th grade students. Through a series of planned programs throughout the school year our Peer Counselors strive to create an unforgettable experience for our incoming 7th grade students!

Peer Mentor Selection and Training. Apply, get accepted, complete the training, and sign the contract! Everything can be completed right here on our Peer Counseling website!
7th grader Introduction and orientation. Meet your incoming 7th grade students for the first time. Introduce them to the Jr.-Sr. High School! A special day just for them!
First Day of School! A warm welcome to all of our 7th graders first thing in the morning! Roll out the red carpet!
7th Grade Team Building Experience! A full day field trip at Camp Stella Maris in Livonia. A series of team building activities are specifically designed to help our students build trust and a sense of community. High ropes course anyone?
Holiday Celebration and farewell! The transition is complete! We will celebrate our journey during 8th and 9th period the day before Winter Recess. Featuring the Day at School Relay, ice cream social, and a dance party with a DJ!
