All students must be registered for all summer school courses by June 25, 2025 at NOON. No exceptions will be made.
Midterm Exams:
If your summer course includes a midterm, it must be taken in person on July 15th at 8:30AM at Leonia Middle School.
Please note the change in testing location for this year. Room assignments will be emailed in advance of the exam.
Final Exams:
Final exams are also in person and must be taken at Leonia Middle School (location change for Summer 2025) and will be administered on August 5th at 8:30AM.
All coursework must be completed and submitted prior to August 5th in order to take the final exam. Please refer to your course syllabus for specific requirements.
Students who do not sit for the final exam on August 5th will receive a failing grade unless prior arrangements have been made to take the exam early. No exams will be administered after August 5th at 8:30AM.
Coursework Deadlines:
All courses are self-paced, but you must submit all tests, quizzes, papers, and assignments by August 1st to guarantee access to the final exam on August 5th at 8:30AM.
Incomplete or improperly submitted work will not be graded, resulting in a failing course grade.
There are no extensions or exceptions to this deadline. All coursework and exams must be completed by August 5th.
It is the student's responsibility to ensure that 100% of your coursework, including essays and written assignments, is completed before the exam date.
Academic Support:
Starting July 2nd, a counselor will be available every Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM to assist with summer course concerns and help schedule exams for students completing coursework ahead of schedule.
Grading Policy:
A passing grade is 65 for Leonia High School students.
You must pass both the course and the final exam to receive credit. No credit will be granted if the final exam is failed, regardless of your overall course grade. In order for students to show mastery of the subject matter in an advancement course, students must earn a final overall grade of at least an 85 AND a minimum of an 85 on the proctored final exam in order to advance to the next course level.
No credit is awarded for failing grades in any summer school course.
