Targeted Supports
Individual Supports
This level of service is created to target the individualized needs of your child. This may look like regular check-in and check-out visits, behavioral plans, and family consultations. Interventions, techniques, and topics that fit with the student's interests, developmental level, and areas of concern.
*Individual supports do not replace outside counseling services. If the student requires services that are beyond the scope of the School Counselor's role referrals can be provided.
Small Groups
Small Groups are similar to individual supports in providing targeted interventions that meet your student's particular needs. In groups of six or less, students will meet with me during their scheduled times that are arranged to limit instructional time interruption.
Community Partnership
One of the roles of the school counselor is to connect the school, students, and families with community partnerships. This may include special presenters, community service opportunities, and community resources.
Each student that would like to participate in small groups or individual counseling is required to complete the Parental Consent for School-Based Counseling.
