Year 5 Trips

We are very excited to announce that we have worked with LEO Academy Trust to organise a residential trip to Kingswood Devon for our Year 5  pupils,  from 23 - 27 March 2026. We are very fortunate to have secured a booking as it is an extremely popular venue with school groups. We would like to offer the opportunity for your child to take part in this trip.

The cost of the visit will be £380, this includes accommodation, full board, insurance and a full programme of activities. To keep the cost affordable for our families, LEO Academy Trust will be funding the cost of travel to and from the destination.  

By completing this form you will be confirming your child's place on this trip. You are required to pay an initial non-refundable deposit of £55 by 30/09/2025 via your child’s Arbor account.

We  feel it is  important that all our pupils have access to the wider opportunities offered by our Trust. If you are experiencing any financial difficulties  please  contact your child’s teacher or if you prefer the school office. Any communication will be held in strict confidence.

LEO Year 5 Residential Trip 2025 - Kingswood Ultimate Adventure Centre - Bideford, Devon

Residential trips organised by the school are, of course, an optional but invaluable part of the National Curriculum. Pupils benefit hugely from the experience, both educationally and socially and we feel certain that the trip we have chosen this year will prove to be both enjoyable and very worthwhile.

There will be a meeting closer to the trip with more detailed information about packing/timings etc.

To confirm your child's place on the trip, please pay a non-refundable deposit of £55 via Arbor. It is your responsibility to ensure the trip is fully paid by 28th February 2026. Arbor will not prompt you for a  payment so please set a reminder to make these payments. Arbor allows you to pay the outstanding balance or additional payments at any time.  

In November 2025 we will ask you to confirm that you still would like your child to attend. If your child no longer wishes to attend you will lose your non refundable deposit. After this time we need to make you aware of the cancellation policy and charges which are as follows:

• +56 days 1st & 2nd Deposits non-refundable £50 & £110 = £160

• 56 - 29 days prior to Arrival Date - 60%* Cost = £247

•  28 - 15 days prior to Arrival Date - 80%* = £304

• 14 - 0 days prior to Arrival Date - 100%* *% of final balance paid = £380

We are excited to announce that our Year 5 students will have the privilege of experiencing 'The Wonder Dome' at school. This immersive planetarium show will transport the children on a captivating journey through the cosmos, providing them with an unforgettable and up-close view of planets, stars, and galaxies.

This unique opportunity aligns perfectly with our current topic exploring Space and the Solar System, and we are confident that it will spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of learning about the wonders of our universe.

The cost is £7.50 per child, payable through Arbor/activities/trips. Please make payments before the end of September.
