EDEN WORKSHOP
Dear Parents and Carers,
As part of our learning this term on ’Rainforests’, we have arranged for an exciting virtual workshop from the Eden Project on the following dates:
Jade Class - Tuesday 27th January 2026
Opal Class - Thursday 29th January 2026
In this workshop, pupils will discover the invisible signals, senses and relationships between plants and animals in the rainforest before deciding what they think humans can learn from them. They will be able to engage with experts from the Eden Project, who will deliver activities, challenges and conversation.
The workshop will take place during the school day, with the cost being £3.00 per pupil, payable through Arbor by 30th January
If you have any questions about the workshop, please come and speak to one of us.
As always, thank you for your continued support.

Year 4 Residential Trip to High Ashurst 2026 - Bookings closed
Dear Parents/Carers
We are very excited to announce that we have worked with LEO Academy Trust to organise a residential trip to High Ashurst for our Year 4 pupils. This trip will take place from 17th - 19th June 2026. We are very fortunate to have secured a booking as it is an extremely popular venue with school groups. We would like to offer the opportunity for your child to take part in this trip.
The cost of the trip will be £190, this includes accommodation, full board, insurance and a full programme of activities. To keep the cost affordable for our families, LEO Academy Trust will be funding the cost of travel to and from the destination.
We feel it is important that all our pupils have access to the wider opportunities offered by our Trust. If you are experiencing any financial difficulties please contact your child’s teacher or if you prefer the school office. Any communication will be held in strict confidence.
You can find out more about our residential trip to High Ashurst through our online presentation:
Year 4 - High Ashurst, Box Hill
Residential trips organised by the school are, of course, an optional but invaluable part of the National Curriculum. Pupils benefit hugely from the experience, both educationally and socially and we feel certain that the trip we have chosen this year will prove to be both enjoyable and very worthwhile.
There will also be a meeting closer to the trip with more detailed information about packing/timings/activities etc.
In order to help you spread the cost of this trip, you are able to make payments in instalments. For example you may wish to make payments of £25 per month between October and March. It is your responsibility to ensure the trip is fully paid by 3rd April 2026. Arbor will not prompt you for these scheduled payment so please set a reminder to make them. Arbor allows you to pay the outstanding balance or additional payments at any time.
In March 2026 we will ask you to confirm that you still would like your child to attend. If your child no longer wishes to attend you will lose your non refundable deposit of £40.
Terms & Conditions
After 1st April 2026 we cannot guarantee if you will receive any funds back as we will need to contact High Ashurst and they will calculate what, if any, refund can be given. This varies due to how it changes the dynamics of the group and an admin fee of £26 to amend a booking
