IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM
Tuesday 4th February 25
As part of the children’s topic on ’World War II’, we have arranged a trip to The Imperial War Museum. On this trip we will experience the IWM London which tells the story of conflict from 1914 to the present day. School groups can choose to take part in a variety of learning sessions.
We will be leaving school at 8:30am and therefore would appreciate it if the children arrive at school promptly, by 8:15am at the latest. This will give us plenty of time to travel and spend as much time at the Museum as possible. To get there, we will take public transport and will return to Cheam Fields by 4:00pm
Lunch will be eaten at the venue, you can either provide your child with a packed lunch. If you would like school to provide a packed lunch please email the office by Friday 17th January 25.
We would highly recommend the children use a small rucksack. Please do not send your child with a large lunchbox or bag as they will have to carry it.
As the trip will be taking place in February, it is vital that the children wear hats, scarves and gloves as well as appropriate wintry footwear. School uniforms should be worn as usual.
We are very excited about this great opportunity for the children. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The cost of the Trip is £5 and needs to be paid by Friday 31st January . Please log onto your child's Arbor account to make payment under Activities/Trips.
Yours sincerely,
The Year 6 Team

Year 6 - Isle of Wight with IOW Experience
Residential trips organised by the school are, of course, an optional but invaluable part of the National Curriculum. Pupils benefit hugely from the experience, both educationally and socially and we feel certain that the trip we have chosen this year will prove to be both enjoyable and very worthwhile.
At the start of this term, teachers from your child’s year group will be holding an assembly for the children to share the exciting news and more detailed information about the residential trip.
In order to help you spread the cost of this trip, we have suggested a payment plan below. It is your responsibility to ensure the trip is fully paid by 31st May 2025. Arbor will not prompt you for a monthly payment so please set a reminder to make this payment. Arbor allows you to pay the outstanding balance or additional payments at any time.
